Jo Prakash was introduced to yoga as a child, where her family would practice daily on the solid, flat, roof tops of a small village house in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India.
She loved the simplicity of yoga that she remembers in India and still incorporates this in her practice and classes today.
Jo has been teaching yoga nearly 6 years and has built a reputation for physically demanding classes which bring results quickly.
An internationally certified teacher, she trained in Madrid with the school of Sivananda, soon after became accredited with the Yoga Alliance with an RYT500 status and the UK sporting governing body REPs with a Level 3 full qualification.
She has written many articles for an online yoga magazine and performed in demonstrations of advanced yoga at the Yoga Show (London, Olympia).
Jo regularly attends workshops where she has been fortunate enough to be under instruction from formidable teachers such as Dharma Mittra, David Swenson and Joey Miles. This has helped mould her classes to a more diverse practice.
She teaches courses, classes and personal tuition for all abilities from beginners to advanced students, has taught at retreats in the UK, at schools to children aged 6 to 15 years and at many gyms, health clubs and spas.
Amongst her students is the world renowned, top ranked, Silat master, Glenn Lobo and bubbly television journalist Stacey Dooley, as well as many other yoga teachers who are looking for master classes in yoga.
Her classes reflect her own practice whereby she “moves the goal post every time you reach it” for the maximum potential of all her students.
